They say there is a good book in all of us, if only we could tell the story. Is it then also true that there is a work of art just waiting to be put on canvas as well? A Mona Lisa, a Picasso’s Dream, a Last Supper that we could create if only we knew how to paint?

Now frustrated Van Goghs everywhere have a chance to find out. Ocean’s Bridge Art Studios is offering people the chance to have their inspiration turned into a genuine oil on canvas painting…for free!

For the first time ever we’d like to offer our customers the chance to have their idea or concept turned into a real oil painting, made by one of our talented artists. For a limited time only we’ll be giving away one such painting each week, completely free of charge.

The first winner will be chosen on Friday, 12th October, and then one each week after that until November 2nd. Winning entries will be shown on our site, where the instructions we’re given, customer’s name, and photographs of the final finished painting will all be displayed. We expect the first week’s winner will receive their painting by the end of October.

How does it work?
Simply submit your ideas by email to and then keep your fingers crossed you’re entry is chosen by our panel of artists (winners will be informed by email). Once we’ve chosen an entry, we start work on the painting, and will record its creation through a series of photographs so you can see how the piece progressed from blank canvas to finished work of art…YOUR work of art!

What to submit?
Please make your idea / concept as clear as possible. Sketch outlines – even very rough ones – are welcome. Instructions on the layout and composition are also appreciated, as are any stylistic guidelines (“Do it in the style of Van Gogh’s Sunflowers”, for example).
