Dan, I was so awestruck after unraveling the painting and glancing at the results, I honestly feel I haven’t fully recovered. It’s only because of practical reasons that I email you to ask questions about the surface of the painting because the frame shop wanted to know if it should be prepared in any way. Is there any recommendations you can make before it is framed? I now wished I had asked for those photos you offered while the painting was being prepared (though I found photos at the website that explains the process). I’m truly beholden to the artist for his/hers recreation. After 40 years, I never imagine I would lay eyes on this painting again (held in private collection). The artist captured the clarity of her eyes. Even as an elderly woman, that illuminating presence was still there. Would it be possible to send a small gratuity to the artist in appreciation? Hello Dan, Prince Alfred and Princess Helena are looking good, they just need the antique varnish to complete them. They will look fantastic in the children’s play room on the second floor. I love the kilt and his fat little knees, does a Scotsman proud. Another magnificent addition to our growing collection. Please compliment the artist on a great job very well rendered. I am as usual very pleased.

Remember me?? The cow paintings? I have been meaning to write to you to express my thanks and to let you know that both paintings were a big hit with the two gentlemen that they were made for. The one with the people in the background and the heifer in the show ring was especially loved. It has a very special meaning because that heifer was named All American in January…meaning she is the #1 Summer Yearling in the United States, and that’s a real honor. That guy was thrilled. He called me a couple of weeks ago and said his wife had just gotten it back from the framers and they are just in love with it. I knew it would be worth it to take a little more time and get it just perfect. Don’t get me wrong, the other guy loved his too, in fact, he got a little choked up when I gave it to him, he was very touched. ¡­ Thanks again for being patient with me and all the changes I asked for. Dear Dan, Paintings 7466 and 7414 have just arrived and I couldn’t be more pleased with them. Dan, I must confess that I am more happy with these two works than all the others put together. This is no reflection on your artists but on the images I am submitting to you for translation into oils.
