We have tried to answer all of your Questions

In case we haven’t contact us now.

You can expect a genuine oil painting, made by a real, talented artist. It will be on artist quality canvas and made in the traditional way – it WON’T be a print, but an actual painting! We guarantee that you will be satisfied with the painting, and that if not, we’ll fix it or simply return your money.

Our standard processing time for all orders is approximately 14 – 21 business days. Some paintings – larger or very complex pieces, for example, or those with very thick texture – might take longer to complete. Please let us know if you have a deadline to meet..

WE GUARANTEE EVERY PAINTING COMING OUT OF OUR STUDIO!

As per our guarantee, if you are unhappy with the painting we will refund your money. If you receive the painting but are dissatisfied please contact us and tell us you wish to return the painting. We will then give you the right address (European office for European customers, US office for the rest of the world) and you can mail the package to us with your order number or name printed clearly on the outside of the package. As soon as we receive it, we’ll process the refund.

NOTE

If the paintings are damaged when you receive them please let us know immediately. From time to time parcels are damaged during shipping, and when that is the case we replace the painting.
If returning a painting please take care to ensure it is well packaged

Shipping for normal orders is free, and there is no restriction on country (although some counties may levy an import fee on the recipient – Egypt, Brazil and Italy being three examples).

If your order is wholesale we have different shipping options available; please contact us.

Once we complete a painting we email photos for customers to review. If changes are needed, we’ll make them – at no extra cost. We have found that this step really helps guarantee that the end result is the best possible one.

So, if you get some photos and the painting doesn’t look right to you, don’t worry – we’ll work with you to make it perfect!

A note: process photos and even photos of the finished painting rarely do the actual art justice. The simple fact is that our paintings always look better in person than they do in a photo, which as well as lacking the impact of a genuine oil painting in all its glory also suffer with color and even detail distortions from the photography. However, the photos do serve a useful role in quality control as they enable customers to see if there are any problems with the painting that need to be fixed. If so, we make revisions (as many as necessary) at no extra cost.

The cost of your painting includes everything involved in making a beautiful work of art and having it sent safely to you. Shipping, insurance and all other costs are included and you will not be asked to pay any further fees (custom’s / import charges not withstanding – a few countries charge their residents a fee for any item sent from overseas).

We accept most credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Diner’s Club International. Orders can be made online through our site or over the phone.

We also accept PayPal – it’s a standard option on our site. Wire transfer is available on request, for larger customers only.

Remember, all orders with us come with a money back guarantee. Furthermore, the security of orders placed with Ocean’s Bridge is our highest priority. Authorize.net is the vendor that will process your card and the name that will appear on your credit card bill. Authorize.net processes hundreds of millions of dollars each year and is recognized by banks and credit card companies as being safe, secure and reliable.

Phone orders are processed by Authorize.net, and billing will be under the name of Manor Abbey LLC.

Our international shipping is free, but this does not include applicable import duties or taxes that are due upon entry into the destination country. If the destination country imposes import duties and/or taxes, the customer is responsible for their payment. The good news is that the vast majority of our customers do not have to pay any such charges. Some notable exceptions include Italy (occasionally), Brazil, Egypt, and Australia, where some have to pay a quarantine inspection charge.

We provide oil on canvas paintings, handmade by real artists. Unlike most we don’t simply print on canvas and then slap a bit of oil paint on, so you can expect your painting to last a lifetime.

Note: for the record, we CAN provide prints, but only do so to customers that have specifically requested them – usually retail or wholesale customers.

Many confuse the word “print” and “painting”, because for a long time prints were the only wall décor option available to those that weren’t very wealthy! These days one needs to clarify. For us, a print is something made by machine, with no paint applied, only special ink. A painting, on the other hand, is something made by a person, using oil paints and a brush, and created over days or weeks. We sell paintings of the sort you will see in a museum, and you can expect them to last a very, very long time (lifetimes) if properly looked after!

All the paintings on our site are either in the public domain (no longer protected by copyright, usually meaning the artist passed more than 70 years ago) or being sold under license, meaning you need not worry about infringing on copyright.

If you do submit a custom image for us to paint from please make sure it is not infringing upon copyright. As artists ourselves we respect the work of others.

Absolutely! We do this sort of thing on a daily basis. Please see our Request a Painting section for details and some examples of just how good these paintings can be.

We DO offer a generous discount to interior designers and other professionals. Please contact us so we can set up your professional discount in advance of your order.

We are able to offer framing and stretching/mounting to US and Canadian customers. Wholesale or interior design customers requiring frames outside the US, please contact us – we can help.

We unfortunately do not offer art valuation services. Nor do we help identify paintings, assist students with homework, or buy art.

Payment, except for certain bulk buyers, is made in full at the time of ordering. As always, any purchase with Ocean’s Bridge is covered by a money back guarantee, so your money is never at risk.

We are only able to offer stretching / mounting and gallery wraps to our US customers at the moment. We can, however, offer framed or unframed paintings to customers both in and outside the US.

The Ocean’s Bridge artists are experienced (over two decades painting professionally), talented, and highly skilled. It’s not unusual for happy customers to specifically request “the same artist as last time!” when re-ordering.

Most of our artists are based in house. We have a few that are based elsewhere – the digital artists are in a few different countries around the world, for example – but for oil paintings we try and keep it all in house to allow us to provide the best possible quality.

Ocean’s Bridge is an American company with offices in North America, Europe and Asia. We aim to be contactable 24 hours a day by email and phone. Emails are nearly always responded to within 24 hours. If you email but DON’T hear back, check your spam folder – it may have gone astray.

We don’t have an upper limit. Below is a picture of one recent large painting, at 13.2 sq. meters (142 sq. feet). Although our largest standard size is 48 by 72 inches, we often paint in sizes even larger than that. The record to date is a painting 20+ feet tall on a single canvas (we’ve done larger but on multiple canvases).

Yes, many of our customers turn old and damaged photographs into beautiful portraits. Details can be changed, color added, or even corrections made to parts of the photographs that are damaged. Although we do prefer to work from clear photographs, we have, with patience and cooperation with our customers, created some excellent art work from some very poor, old photographs.

If the photo is too damaged, it may help to provide other images to help with details, but we can discuss your specific case – just contact us.

Many of our customers send in extra photos to help provide details and clarity that may be missing in the main photograph. This is very helpful to our artists and helps to assure that the end result is as close to perfect as possible.

We also work from more than one photo to create group portraits or custom work – perhaps changing the background, or adding family members to a portrait painting.
